A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), led by Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Chairman of the CII Uttarakhand State Council (2026–27), called upon Shri Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of Uttarakhand. The delegation extended their congratulations to the Minister on assuming charge of the portfolio.
The CII Uttarakhand State Council, the apex decision-making body of CII in the state, represents senior industry leaders across diverse sectors and geographies, driving industry-led initiatives and policy advocacy.
Highlighting CII’s longstanding association with the state, Mr. Agarwal noted that since Uttarakhand’s formation, CII has worked closely with the government, particularly through the CII–Government Joint Task Force. The collaboration has significantly contributed to policy-making and attracting investments, playing a key role in developing world-class integrated industrial estates across the state.
During the meeting, key issues discussed included the upgradation of MSME clusters in Pantnagar, Haridwar, and Sitarganj through the creation of shared industrial infrastructure. The delegation also proposed the establishment of a Unified Industrial Single Window System by integrating approvals from the State Industrial Development Authority of Uttarakhand (SIDA) and the Common Application Form (CAF) into a single digital interface. This initiative aims to reduce approval timelines, enhance transparency, minimize compliance burdens, and strengthen investor confidence, thereby improving the state’s ease of doing business ecosystem.
The Hon’ble Minister appreciated the recommendations put forward by CII and assured the delegation of their inclusion in future departmental consultative meetings, especially those related to policy formulation and industrial development.
