The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uttarakhand has welcomed the State Budget 2026–27, describing it as a forward-looking roadmap focused on sustainable growth, MSME development, and employment opportunities for the youth.

Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Chairman, CII Uttarakhand, said, “The Uttarakhand Budget 2026–27 reflects a strong commitment towards sustainable growth, MSME development and youth employment. The focus on the GYAN model is particularly encouraging as it promotes entrepreneurship, skill development and addresses the issue of migration from the state. We are optimistic that these initiatives will strengthen industrial development and create new job opportunities for the youth of Uttarakhand.”

CII also appreciated the emphasis on sector-wise provisions aimed at ensuring balanced and inclusive development across the state. An allocation of ₹75 crore for the MSME Assistance Scheme and ₹25 crore for the Startup Venture Fund is expected to strengthen the ecosystem for small industries and innovation-driven enterprises.

The industry body expressed confidence that the focus on investment promotion and entrepreneurship will further boost industrial growth. Incentives provided under the Mega Industrial and Textile Policy are likely to attract large-scale investments and generate employment opportunities.

The budget also places special emphasis on infrastructure development. Investments under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the Pothole-Free Road Campaign, and the Rispana–Bindal Elevated Utility Shifting Project are expected to significantly improve logistics, road connectivity and accessibility across the state.

In addition, provisions for civil aviation, smart city projects and eco-tourism development will enhance the ease of doing business. These initiatives, along with the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme, are expected to create new opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship and local employment.

Overall, CII Uttarakhand believes that the budget lays a strong foundation for industrial growth, innovation and sustainable economic development in the state.
