The newly appointed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Haridwar, Navneet Singh, formally addressed the media at the CCR Building after assuming charge in the district. During the press interaction, he emphasized his commitment to strengthening law and order in Haridwar through transparency, accountability, and active public participation.
SSP Singh stated that Haridwar can be transformed from “better to best” only through strong coordination between the police and the public. He highlighted that crime control, efficient traffic management, eradication of drug-related activities, and the smooth conduct of major religious events would remain top priorities under his leadership. He assured that the police department would work proactively to maintain peace and security in the district.
He also expressed his expectation of positive cooperation from citizens, public representatives, and the media to successfully implement his vision at the ground level. According to him, collective responsibility and open communication are key to ensuring a safe and well-managed district.
On the occasion, SSP Navneet Singh visited the world-renowned Har Ki Pauri to review security arrangements in view of the ongoing Sharadiya Kanwar Mela. Accompanied by senior officers, he inspected the arrangements and issued necessary directions to subordinate officials. He also participated in the evening Ganga Aarti and sought blessings for the successful execution of his duties.
