The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region engaged with leading industrialists and stakeholders in Uttarakhand to chart a forward-looking roadmap focused on sustainable and resilient growth.
Addressing the session, Puneet Kaura, Deputy Chairman, CII Northern Region and MD & CEO of Samtel Avionics, emphasized the need for Uttarakhand to prioritize its State Green Resilience Mission. He recommended embedding sustainability and climate resilience into the state’s long-term development agenda and preparing a comprehensive Vision document to accelerate economic progress while enhancing citizen well-being.
During the session, CII Uttarakhand announced its new leadership for 2026–27.
Mr Sanjay Agarwal has been appointed as Chairman, CII Uttarakhand. As Director of Pro Packaging Industries, he has led innovation in pharmaceutical packaging. He is also the founder of RIT Roorkee and Delhi Public School, Vikasnagar. A co-founder of TiE Dehradun and alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, he is recognized for promoting entrepreneurship and sustainability initiatives in the state.
Mr Saurabh Vaish has been appointed as Vice Chairman, CII Uttarakhand. Founder and MD of Rosewood Apartment Hotels, he has expanded operations across North India. As Co-Convener of CII Uttarakhand’s Tourism & Wellness Panel, he actively advocates sustainable tourism and industry-aligned education to strengthen the state’s hospitality ecosystem.
