Tehri: A comprehensive lecture on injury prevention was delivered by Dr Pallawi Bishnoi, Sports Scientist, Sports Physiotherapist, and Athletic Trainer, at T.H.A.C.K High Performance Academy, Tehri. The session was specially organized for coaches, rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists, and national as well as international athletes associated with Canoeing, Kayaking, and Rowing.
Dr Bishnoi emphasized the importance of scientific training methods, structured warm-up and cool-down routines, load management, recovery strategies, and early identification of overuse injuries. She highlighted sport-specific risk factors in water sports and discussed practical preventive protocols to enhance performance while minimizing injury risks.
The interactive session also covered rehabilitation planning, biomechanical assessment, and strength conditioning tailored for paddling sports. Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical demonstrations, gaining valuable insights into optimizing athlete health and longevity.
The academy management appreciated Dr Bishnoi’s contribution, stating that such expert-led educational initiatives play a crucial role in building a high-performance sporting ecosystem in Uttarakhand.
