Pharma Anveshan Devbhoomi Uttarakhand 2026 Organized at Tarawati Institute Roorkee

With the support of the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, Shri Tarawati Institute of Biomedical and Allied Sciences, Roorkee organized “Pharma Anveshan Devbhoomi Uttarakhand 2026,” a national-level research platform for pharmacy students.
The event was dedicated to the memory of Prof. M. L. Schroff, known as the father of pharmacy education in India, and paid tribute to his contributions. The program was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati by distinguished dignitaries including Chief Guest Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat (Cabinet Minister, Uttarakhand), Guest of Honour Dr. Montu Kumar M. Patel (President, Pharmacy Council of India), Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra, PCI Central Council Member Dr. Shivanand Patil, Deputy Drug Controller Uttarakhand Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Institute Founder Shri Ramesh Chand Sharma, Chairman Shri Mamtesh Kumar Sharma, Director Dr. Pankaj Sharma, and Principal & Coordinator Dr. Shammi Chadha.
Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat addressed the students virtually and encouraged them to contribute towards innovation and research in the pharmaceutical sector.
Dr. Montu Kumar M. Patel congratulated the organizers and highlighted that Pharma Anveshan serves as a significant platform for students, researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to share ideas and explore emerging trends in pharmacy education and research. He emphasized the importance of innovation and scientific research in strengthening the pharmaceutical sector in India.
Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra also addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative for bringing pharmacy professionals across India together and promoting awareness about pharmacy education.
The event witnessed participation from students of B.Pharm, D.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, and other pharmacy courses from across Uttarakhand. Participants presented their research projects, poster presentations, and innovative ideas before expert panels. Winners will be awarded for their outstanding contributions.
A special interaction session over tea was also held between the PCI President and directors/principals of PCI-approved pharmacy institutes in Uttarakhand. During the event, dignitaries were honored with shawls and mementos by Director Dr. Pankaj Sharma, while certificates, plants, and souvenirs were presented to institute representatives by Dr. Montu Kumar M. Patel.
The event was attended by several dignitaries and organizing members including Shaurya Sharma, Coordinator Dr. Shammi Chadha, Media Incharge Vijay Arora, Chitra Gupta, Sunita Rani, Deepak Saini, Mohammad Kashif, Dushyant Pundir, Akshay Kumar, Deepak Kamboj, Avi Saini, Gaurav Sharma, Nishant Anjum, Mohammad Shahrukh Khan, Chandan Saini, Ajay Kumar, Prachi Jindal, Amit Sharma, and other staff members.
